Cleo R. Jones

JONES, Cleo Robert age 84 of Beavercreek, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 3:00 A.M. at Hospice of Dayton. Cleo is a retired U.S. Postal worker, a World War II veteran of the 4th Division Marine Corps, an avid bowler and youth bowling coach, a former baseball umpire and basketball referee, a loving family man, and forever a child at heart. He enjoyed playing games with his family, working around the house, reading books, and watching westerns and war movies. Cleo is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Anita; daughters and sons-in-law Sandy and Bob Mills, Gayle and Jim Sowder, and Kim and Chris McMullen; son and daughter-in-law Greg and Laura Jones; grandchildren Dee Cordell and husband Dan, Tim Mills and wife Melissa, Doug Mills and wife Heather, Jen Pelfrey and husband Todd, Patrick and Shawn McMullen, Justin and Whitney Sowder, and Jacob and Jacqueline Jones; and eight great grandchildren. A memorial service for Cleo will be scheduled for a later date at the convenience of the family.
