Clement R. Cwiklinski Sr., age 76, of Huber Heights, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 23, 2022. Clem was born on July 8, 1946 in South Bend, IN to the late Clement & Dorothy Cwiklinski.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Cwik and his wife, Joanne.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gloria Cwiklinski; children, Shirley (Vernon) Meyer and Clement (Erin) Cwiklinski Jr.; grandchildren, Cody T. Meyer, Anessa R. Cwiklinski and Travis C. Meyer; beloved cat, Gunsmoke; and many other relatives and friends.
Clem graduated from Tri-State University. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, fought in the Vietnam War and retired after 26 ½ years of service. Clem worked for SEW Eurodrive in Troy, OH for 35 years. He was a devout member of St. Peter Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister for the parish. Clem was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3283, American Legion Post 200, Am Vet 464, Air Force Association and AARL Amateur Radio. He held leadership roles in the Knights of Columbus as a Grand Knight, he was a Grand Commander in the Military Order of Cooties 2016-2017, Post Commander of the American Legion Post 200 and VFW Post Chaplain from 2020. Clem was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Rd., Huber Heights, Ohio. Following the service, Clem will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery.
