Clayton Walters
Age 64, of New Carlisle, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 8, 2007 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born September 3, 1942 in Hope, Kentucky, the son of the late Lewis & Edna (Coffey) Walters. Mr. Walters was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during the Vietnam conflict. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame at Bethel High School.
Survivors include, sister, Joyce & Arval Cromwell of Covington, Ohio; brother, Clinton & Mary Walters of Tampa, Florida; sister, Christine & Harold Miller of New Carlisle, Ohio; sister, Maxine & Wayne Thuma of New Carlisle, Ohio; brother, James "Jim" Walters and special friend Lisa of New Lebanon, Ohio; and loving nephew & niece, who were his special care givers, Ronnie and Mary Jones, along with their two sons, Garrett and Wyatt Jones, of New Carlisle, Ohio, and by numerous nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives.
Visitors will be received from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the Tabernacle of Praise church, 4285 St. Rt. 40, Tipp City, Ohio, where the service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Lanny Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery.
