Clayton W. Prather, Jr.

Clayton W. "Clay" Prather, Jr., age 76, of Dayton, passed away on October 15, 2023. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on January 16, 1947, to Clayton and Grace Prather, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Richard Prather.
Clay is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Gloria Jean Prather; children, David (Connie) Prather and Suzanne (Scott Freels) Gustafson; granddaughter, Amanda (Amine Dehmani) Burkholder; brother, Mark (Shirley) Prather; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He retired from Coca-Cola. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, going to the Casino and spending time with his family. Clay was a very strong person, who was always there with wonderful advice. His family meant the world to him and he was devoted to them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Following with Clay's wishes, there will not be services held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dayton Cancer Center or the American Heart Association.
