Clayton Nickell

Clayton Nickell "Sonny", age 77 of New Carlisle, passed away January 14, 2017. He was born December 11, 1939 in Payton County, KY to the late Andrew and Mildred (Smith) Nickell. In addition to his parents, Clayton was preceded in death by his brother, AC Nickell and his sister, Opal Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Nickell; daughters, Cathy (Patrick) Wolfe and Debra Zammit; step-son, Christopher Musick; grandchildren, Justin (Kelly) Wolfe, Austin Carter, Cheyenne Carter; "his boy", great grandchildren, Mason, Nevaeh and Grayson; sister, Helen Murray and numerous extended family and friends.
Clayton worked and retired from Chrysler/Behr after over 25 years of service. Clayton was a member of Masonic Lodge #100 in New Carlisle. He and his brother raced and showed cars back in the late 70's. Clayton was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.
A Celebration of Clayton's Life will be held at a later date.
