Born in Pikeville, TN on June 24, 1929 – passed away September 13, 2009.
Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, Rayburn & Etta Mae Loyd and by his brother, EJ Loyd.
He is survived by his wife of the past 59 years, Anna Grace Loyd as well as his sons, Mike (Patty) Loyd, Chuck (Claudette) Loyd and Steve (Sue) Loyd. Clayton is also survived by his two sisters, Lucille (Newell) Moore and Betty (Ferrell) White. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as a special nephew and niece, Eddie Joe and Kathy Loyd and many other relatives and friends.
Clayton was a faithful member of North Dayton Baptist Church and he worked for Price Brothers Company for forty-five years. He will also be greatly missed at Loyd's Auto Service.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., TODAY, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Williford officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Clayton to the North Dayton Baptist Church or the Gideon's Society.
