Clayton L. Harmsworth

Clayton Lane Harmsworth, age 92, of Huber Heights, passed away on May 15, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 2, 1930 to the late Harry and Ruth Harmsworth.
He served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force and working at Wright Patterson AFB, from which he retired after 41 years. He earned a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering from the University of Idaho. He attended Faith Presbyterian Church in Huber Heights, and he belonged to the Dayton Wingmaster's Flying Club.
Clay was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruth Harmsworth.
His memory will be cherished by his beloved wife of 65 years, Doris Harmsworth; his children: Sharon (Diane Ferrari) Harmsworth and Alan (Tina Martin) Harmsworth; his grandchildren: Connor Harmsworth and Allison (Clayton Smith)Harmsworth; his brother, Donald (Wendy) Harmsworth; numerous nieces and nephews including: David Harmsworth, Sarah Harmsworth, Brian Fields, Marilyn Staton, and Joanie Edwards.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Faith Presbyterian Church in Huber Heights, 5555 Chambersburg Road, Dayton, OH 45424.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Clayton's memory to Faith Presbyterian Church for their mission work.
