Claudia D. Bernard

Claudia Dianne Bernard, age 76, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born November 5, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio.

Claudia is survived by her spouse of 45 years, Richard "Rick" Bernard; daughter, Jennifer Elly Perkins of Beavercreek, OH (Tim Carter); daughter-in-law, Alicia Perkins of Clearwater, FL; granddaughter, Kendyl Perkins of Clearwater, FL; great granddaughter, Mila Perkins of Clearwater, FL; and aunt, Shirley Young and many Ford family cousins in Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Ford Perkins.

Claudia grew up in Centerville, OH and attended Centerville City Schools where she enjoyed all of her many friends. She was involved in highschool co-eds and theater. She enjoyed the frequent dinners with her graduates of the Class of '67 for so many years.

As an adult, she participated in what was called "KO Theater" and performed in such shows as Neil Simon's "Last of the Red Hot Lovers."

She was an air personality at WING radio, Dayton, OH in the late 70's/early 80's, working with and for Steve Kirk.

Claudia and Rick enjoyed vacationing in Sarasota, FL for over 40 years. They even realized Claudia's dream of owning two different condos.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Claudia's family requests contributions be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton or the Clearcreek Township EMS.
