Claudette Ridenour

Claudette Ridenour, age 80, of Huber Heights, passed away on October 28, 2023. She was born in Richmond, Indiana on April 2, 1943 to the late Claude and Nancy Day. In addition to her parents, Claudette is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years John Ridenour; stepson John Ridenour Jr. and grandson John Ridenour III.

Claudette is survived by her daughter Starletta Ridenour; son Jeff (Yvonne) Ridenour; stepdaughter Janet (Tim) Weidner; grandchildren Angela (Joshua) Campbell, Craig (Jamie) Buccalo, Chelsey (Andrew) Swasey, David Veintimilla, Ashley (Sharif) Delarge, Sidney (Ryan) Ridenour; great grandchildren Jordan (Torri), Corey, Marah, Craig, Will, Jonathan, Abigail, Adeline, Aliyah, Alannah, Andrew, Reagan, and Lincoln; one great-great granddaughter Lainey; siblings Larry Day, Darrell (Madalyn) Day, Sharon (Neil) Waterston, and Mike (Lynn) Day.

Claudette was employed at numerous places such as WPAFB Exchange and as a home healthcare aide. She also enjoyed volunteering for Dayton Children's Hospital where she loved to comfort and care for the babies. Family meant everything to her and she loved nothing more than spending time with them, especially at family reunions, and holidays. Claudette liked going out to eat and trying new restaurants with family and friends, doing crafts and playing games with her grandchildren, and working crossword puzzles.

Visitation will be on from 11 AM to 1 PM on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio. Service to follow, officiated by Pastor Doug Wampler. Claudette will be laid to rest at Dayton Memorial Park in Dayton.
