Claudean Lowry

Claudean (Pyburn) Lowry, age 81 of Union, Ohio passed away January 26, 2011. She was born January 13, 1930 in Glomar, Kentucky to the late Robert and Mollie Pyburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters: Kate O'Grosky, Clara Mahaffey, Evelyn Napier, Helen Pyburn, Charlie, Everett and Carlos Pyburn.

Claudean is survived by her sons: Gregory (Barbra) Sumner, Michael Sumner, Stephen (DiDi) Sumner; grandchildren: Greg, Stefanie, Hannah, Elijah and Chloe; sister, Eleanor Williams; dear friends, Betty Ford and Helen Lucas; nephews, Michael and Timmy Ogrosky; niece, Pam Hess; and great nephew, Jimmy Hite.

She was a member of Brandt Pike Free Will Baptist Church. Claudean enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge and 500 Rummy.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Pastor Robert Legg officiating. Burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
