Claude L. Blanton

Claude "C.L." Blanton, born on November 26, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on November 13 2024, in his hometown. He was 73 years old at the time of death. Claude dedicated a substantial portion of his life to his career, proudly serving for 42 years at Aramark Services, where he was highly regarded by his colleagues

Claude was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his loved ones. He took great joy in the company of his son, David Blanton, and his grandchildren, Kirsten, David, and Ryan Blanton, as well as his great-grandchildren, Colt Glass, Cade Blanton, and Grady Purdy. His love extended to his siblings, Mary, Jim T., Glenn, and Roy Blanton, who shared fond memories with him throughout their lives. Claude was in a loving relationship with his girlfriend, Shirley Criswell, and he is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his family commitments, Claude had a passion for watching westerns, often finding entertainment and relaxation in this genre. His enthusiasm for life and his ability to connect with those around him left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Claude is preceded in death by his father, James Blanton; his mother, Mattie Belle Blanton; and his daughter, Rhiannon Blanton. Their memories remain cherished within the hearts of all who knew them.

A visitation for Claude L. Blanton will be held on November 20, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, North Dayton, located at 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. Friends and family are welcome to attend as they pay their respects and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who will be profoundly missed.

Claude will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn, OH.
