Claude Anders

Anders, Claude M. "Andy", age 90, 10/7/18-3/21/09 of Vandalia, passed peacefully Saturday at Dayton Heart Hospital. He was the son of the late Raymond W. & Edna A. (Fogel) Anders. He is also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. He served in the US Army from 1942-1945. A retired member of UAW the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local # 162, a 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of the Lutheran Faith. Survivors include his daughters, Carol (Ken) Jackson, Joyce (David) Morgan of Vandalia; grandchildren, Lisa (Jack) Duben, Jason R. (Mary) Sibila, Melissa R. (Doug) Clegg, David M. (Alicia) Morgan, Jr., & Sam A. Morgan; great grandchildren, Eric, Sarah, & Brianna Duben, Ranny Sage & Rachel Sibila; special mention to Judy ,the owner, and staff and all his many friends at the Vandalia Waffle House. A Graveside service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday March 31, 2009 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 W. Third St. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (North Chapel). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dayton Heart Hospital.
