Clark Richardson Taylor Jr. Age 80 departed this life July 31, 2021. Born May 22, 1941 and raised in Dayton Ohio.
He was preceded in death by both loving parents, Clark and Lois Taylor Sr., wife Quincy, and granddaughter Reva Lindsey .
Clark as he was lovingly called (Richard), graduated from Chaminade High School and attended Central State University. He received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Air Force. Retired from Delco Products a Division of General Motors as a Foreman after 35 years of service. Richard loved the outdoors and traveling, he was an avid tennis player and was the man behind the camera at all family functions.
Richard was a faithful servant of God and devoted member of the St. Benedict the Moor (Resurection) Catholic Church where he served as a 4th Degree Knight of Peter Klaver. He raised his family to serve the Lord.
Richard is survived by three children, son Clark Richardson Taylor III (Yaushmeen); daughters Chante Lavonne Dukes and Tara Lynn Johnson (Aaron), their mother and lifelong friend Reva Romine and sister Doris Bankston. Also morning his loss are grandchildren Brandon Taylor, Ruth Glass, Angel Monet Taylor and Rikki Elizabeth Taylor; thirteen great-grand children, 1 niece, 9 nephews in addition to numerous friends and relatives.
Richard was blessed with a long and prosperous life of love, and giving to others and serving the Lord. He lived with his daughter and devoted son in law until he went home to be with the Lord.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 9:30 am until time of mass at 11:30 am at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church 519 Liscum Dr, Dayton, OH 45417. He will be laid to rest at 1:30pm Monday, August 9, 2021 at Dayton National Cemetery.
