STANFIELD, Clarence W. "Stan" age 84, passed away November 16, 2010 at home with his family by his side. He was a long time resident of Clarksville, OH and Sarasota, FL. Born March 11, 1926 in Hoquiam, WA he is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary (Richardson); son, Michael W. Stanfield; sisters, Norma and Marie; brothers, Karl, Charles, and Harold. He is survived by his loving wife, Clara (Hough); daughter, Peggy Garcia; step children, Rick (Aletia) Douglas, Russ (Jodie) Douglas, Ruth (Mark) Mosher, and Cindy (Peter) Gurekovich; brother, Jim (Janie) Stanfield; daughter-in-law, Berniece Howard; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII as a Gunners Mate Second Class. He was honorably discharged in 1946. After 41 1/2 years at GMC/Harrison Radiator, affectionately named "Stan the Tool Man", he retired in 1984. He was a member of USS LSM-LSMR Association, American Legion, F&AM Dalton Lodge and Hospice Veterans Partnership of Ohio.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 19, 2010 at 12:00 pm at The First Baptist Church of Kettering, 3939 Swigart Rd. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, November 19, 2010 at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
