Clarence J. Moon

MOON, Clarence J., age 79, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008. He was born June 4, 1929 in Greenfield, Ohio. He retired from the Dayton Fire Dept. as a Lieutenant after 29 years, was a member of VFW #8312 in Beavercreek, and the Masonic Lodge. Clarence was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the United States Navy from 1948-1952. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carole Moon; children, Deborah Wailes, Steven Moon, and Mark Moon; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
