GARRETT, Clarence "Ed" Rev., of Tipp City went to be with the Lord Monday, December 3, 2007 after a lengthy illness. He is preceded in death by his son Thomas Garrett; parents Clarence and Flora Garrett; brother W. Donald Garrett; sisters Christine Collins, Lorene Brinkman, Wanda Hockstok, and Barbara Combs. Clarence is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Garrett; daughters Rebecca (Gary) Powell, Patricia (Mike) Magill,and Joyce (James) Jones; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers Otis (Marlene) Garrett and Robert E. Lee Garrett; sisters Irene (Bob) Justice and Kathlene (Don) Hofele; sister-in-law Ann Garrett; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army with service in Japan after WWII, minister in the Pentecostal Church of God, and retired from Allied Paper in 1992. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Friday December 7, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Rev. David Renfro will be officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00PM Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
