GARDNER, Clarence F. age 74, of Dayton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 21, 2008. He was born June 26, 1934 in Fleming County, KY. He leaves Dorothy, his loving wife of 52 years; two sons, George (Fran) Gardner and Tim Gardner; two daughters, Sue (Doug) Stagge and Tina (Monty) Siler; beloved grandchildren, Michelle and Jason Gardner, Dylan and Evan Stagge, Mason and Mitchell Siler, and Mitzie Ridenour; three sisters, Minnie Adams, Mary Smith, and Brenda Clark; brother, Sterling Gardner; special friend, Jackie Ridenour; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lee Gardner; parents, Katherine and Russell Gardner; brothers, James, Robert and Kenneth; and sister, Bernice Willet. Clarence retired in 1987 after 33 years at Delco Moraine Brake Division, was a member of the local UAW 696, and Fairborn Full Gospel Tabernacle. He had a heart for bringing children to the Lord by starting many bus routes and teaching Sunday School and served the Lord for over 35 years. He enjoyed many winters of retirement in Sebring, FL and brought the bus ministry to his church there. Visitation will be 6-8PM Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Funeral services will be 12PM Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Fairborn Full Gospel Tabernacle, 2528 National Rd. with Pastor James Dillon officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Miami Valley Chapter, 3797 Summit Glen Dr. Dayton, OH 45449 in his memory. Praise God he is finally home.
