Clarence E. "Gene" Flory, Sr., age 84 of Dayton, passed away March 6, 2014. He was born August 29, 1929 in Brookville, Ohio to the late Waldo and Ruby Flory.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 58 years, Freda Flory; children: Kimberly (Devin) Reid, Clarence E. (Donna) Flory, Jr., Mike Flory and Lisa (Mike) Bennett; grandchildren: Angela (Brian) Hunter, Jimmy Darnell, Angel (Ed) Zinn, Sarah Bennett and Alyssa Stettler; great grandchildren: Kiley, Haley, Brisen, Kinsley, Landon, Emilee, Harley and Kobee; great great granddaughter, Jaycee; sister, Barbara Kline; and brother-in-law, Elwood "Jr" Smith.
Clarence was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korean War and was a truck driver for Monarch Marketing and Pitney-Bowes.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. Burial will be held at a later date at Dayton National Cemetery.
