Clarence C. Wegelin
Age 84, formerly of Erie, PA and Dayton, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 in St. Louis, MO.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Sylvester "Bud" Wegelin.
Clarence is survived by his wife of the past 63 years, Charlene J. (Alexander) Wegelin; three daughters, Deborah (John) Cimino, Cheryl (David) Hussong and Tali (Keith) Gregory; nine grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one brother, John E. (Mary) Wegelin; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Clarence was a U. S. Army veteran (Tech Sgt.) having served during WW II and he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 362 F&AM, Erie Consistory; the Antioch Temple Shrine; Eagles Lodge # 3958; and the American Legion Post # 286.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.
