Clarence Bole, Jr.

Clarence Sampson Bole (Sam)-age 91 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Walnut Creek Senior living Campus with his family by his side. Sam was born April 21, 1928 in New Boston, Ohio to Bettie and Sampson Bole.
He married Nola Guild on February 21, 1948. They shared 70- wonderful years of marriage and were blessed raising and nurturing three generations in their family.
Sam was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nola Bole; caring daughters, Connie Bartlett and Bonnie McKinzie; his parents, Bettie and Sampson Bole; and his brother, Kenneth Bole.
He is survived by his two daughters, Beckie Lowman and Patti Lawler; four sons-in-law, Jack McKinzie, Lee Bartlett, Gerald Lowman, and Bill Lawler; eight grandchildren, Natalie Moore, Sean Parsons, Jan Stevens, Rick Lowman, Brad Herrman, Tony Herrman, Erica Lawler and Craig Lawler; 13 great grandchildren, Emily Cutrer, Nathan Huff, Cassidy Parsons, Brooke Pearse, Miranda Moore, Brayden Herrman, Sarah Herrman, Brennan Lowman, Cooper Lowman, Nolan Herrman, Anya Herrman, Jack Lawler and Emerson Lawler; and three great-great grandchildren, Bennett Cutrer, Hudson Huff and Jenna Cutrer; his brother-in-law, Bob Crouch and several nieces and nephews.
Sam deeply loved and was loved by those around him. He was the quintessential family man and supported his family at every turn. He loved being active with his family; teaching them to drive, swim, play sports, and skate. He enjoyed traveling to Arizona, Lake Cumberland, Louisiana, Michigan, West Lafayette, Saint Louis, California, Las Vegas, and Chicago.
When his wife began hospice care, he persisted steadfastly by her side. With little regard for his own interests or sleep, he graciously cared for her through the end of her life. He would pray for strength every day and his strength comforted her and brought her peace.
His laughter and smile would warm a room. It was important to him to be remembered for his sense of humor and ability to make others laugh. His wit, love of laughter, and life outlook will not be forgotten.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Aboriginal Proverb "We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here it to observe, to learn to grow, to love… and then we return home." And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
