ALEXANDER, Clarence E., Jr. "Bud," age 79, of Kettering, passed away Mon., Aug. 21, 2006 at Laurelwood Assisted Living. He is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Fox), to whom he was married 57 years; 5 children Diane Craig (Ralph) of Marion, OH, Paula Ferriell (Ron) of West Carrollton, Mark Alexander (Maria) of Richmond Heights, OH, David Alexander (Traci) of Lakeside Park, KY and Bruce Alexander (Sherri) of Bellbrook; 1 sister Mildred Steineman-Fricke of Miamisburg; 12 grandchildren Lt. Andrew Craig (Karla) and Russell Craig, Jeannie Barnard (Hank), Eric Ferriell, Brian, Christine, Miles, Macy, Elizabeth and Evan Alexander and Madeline and Jake Punch. Bud was preceded in death by his parents Clarence & Marie O. Alexander and uncle Brother Paul Omlor, S.M. (Univ. of Dayton). He was a member of Holy Angels and St. Charles parishes, graduate of Chaminade H.S. and the Univ. of Dayton, member of the Univ. of Dayton Varsity Club, committee man for the U.S. Golf Assn. for 30 years, ran the U.S. Amateur Public Links Golf Qualifier from 1970 - 1999, inducted into the Greater Dayton Golf Hall of Fame in 1998 and was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II. Bud was a lifetime sales rep, starting his career at Roderer Shoes and then the appliance and furniture business for Moore Equipment Co., then Allied Supply Co. and finishing with Tracey Wells Co. before his retirement in 1992. He was avid local golfer playing at Madden, Community before joining N.C.R. Country Club and a fisherman at Lake Erie. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M., Fri., Aug. 25, 2006 at St. Charles Church. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 - 8 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. and Friday from 10 A.M. until Mass time at church.
