Clara Mae Tighe

Clara Mae Tighe, affectionately known as Sally, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on October 18, 2023, surrounded by her devoted family. She was 96, and was born on June 08, 1927, in Makanda, IL. Clara worked at Fanny Farmers Chocolate Factory and Norstat, in Norwalk, OH and retired in 1989. She enjoyed camping, Polar Bears and being a part of Pathfinders. Clara volunteered at the Good Neighbor House, Dayton, Ohio, with her husband, Frank. She was a member of and was very involved in her church.

Clara is survived by her children, Karen Brown, Christine Black, Thomas (Linda) Tighe, Judy (Mike) Bilbee, and Tricia Ford. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Tighe of 59 years; youngest son, Kevin; grandson, David Goodfellow; parents, Wallace and Maude Miller; brothers, Everett, Carl, Eugene, and Albert Miller; sister, Ella Denison; infant nephew, Carl Miller; nephews, Ronnie Miller and Timothy Miller.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Clara's memory to the Good Neighbor House

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 from 3:00pm-4:00pm at the Centerville Seventh Day Adventist Church, 456 W. Spring Valley Pk., Centerville, with funeral services being held at 4:00pm.
