Thies, Clara Marie, 96, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 5, 2020, to share his heavenly kingdom with her family and friends who went before her.
She was born to Frank A. Hart and Clara M (Hoening) on February 29, 1924. She married Jim Thies on January 20, 1945. He passed away on Jan. 2, 1983.
She was a charter member of Precious Blood Catholic Church for 34 years and a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Celina, Ohio since 1986.
She is survived by three daughters, Pat Rike, Sue Buckles, and Beverly (Terry) Biggs. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Clara Hoening Hart, son Tom and wife Bobbie, and son-in-laws Dale Rike and Lonnie Buckles. Also preceding her in death were two sisters and their spouses, Selena and John Carter, Catherine and Ted Bare, three brothers and their spouses, John and Marilyn Hart, Eldon, Phyllis and Karen Hart, and Robert Hart. Other family preceding her in death were sister-in-law and husband Mary and Bill Kroger and brother-in-law Jack Thies. Additional survivors include sister Mary Weaver, sister-in-law Virginia Hart, six grandchildren Bill, Angie, Amanda, Maegan, Carrie, and Alana, seven great-grandchildren, special friend Bob Dunlap, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11th at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Dayton, Ohio, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place immediately afterwards at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, National Road, Brookville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church or Christian organization of your choice to help further the word of our Lord, or the American Heart Association.
