Clara Evelyn Hannah

HANNAH, Clara Evelyn (Thomas), age 92, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital. She grew up in Russell, KY., and moved to Ohio in 1937. She retired from GM after 16 years. Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Perry Hannah; 3 sisters Marlene McQuality, Ann Trahotas, Lena Butcher, 4 brothers Ralph, Wallace, Bob, and Vernon Thomas; and 2 grandchildren. Clara is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Carol & Ron Hilderbrandt of Xenia; son & daughter-in-law Perry C & Marsha Hannah of London, OH; son and daughter-in-law Cal & Brenda Hannah of Kettering; brothers Hubert Arthur Thomas, and Leslie Thomas; sister Edith (Thomas) Lewis; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Fund, or the Parkinson's Foundation. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 12:30-2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. At 2:00 PM there will be a procession to Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery for a committal service.
