LANSING, Clara Edna, age 91, passed away Monday, November 12, 2007. She was born August 17, 1916 in West Union, OH, the daughter of the late Oscar Foster and Eva Carder. Edna retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital after 15 years. She was very active with the Girl Scouts of America,4-H Clubs, and a member of the Civil Air Patrol. She enjoyed writing poetry and was published in area newspapers and Poets of America. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Henry Lansing; two sisters, Opal Kingery and Mary Beal; one brother, Floyd Foster. She is survived by three daughters, Eileen Rosell of Waynesville, Janice Smart of Jamestown, and Naomi Terry of Beavercreek; two sons, Harold Lansing of Calexico, CA, and David Lansing of Tucson, AZ; one brother, Denver Foster of Jamestown; one sister, Martha Elam of Hustead, OH; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. and 10-11 a.m Friday at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Friday, November 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bill Perry officiating. If desired, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Waynesville Building Fund (1009 Lytle Rd.). Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
