Cindy Kay Greene, a bright and warm individual, passed away on June 20, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and creativity that will forever be cherished by her family and friends. Born December 27, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio, Cindy's life was filled with a passion for painting, singing, and above all, her love for animals with a special place in her heart for her beloved cat, Cookie.
She brought joy to those around her with talent as an artist and her beautiful voice that resonated in every song she sang. Cindy's pride in her artistic creations found expression not only on canvas but also through the unique art she wore proudly on her shirts to church.
Fond memories of Cindy include the playful acrobatics she performed with her sister when their mom wasn't looking, meeting her husband through mutual friends, and playing with her cats - all testaments to the bond she shared with those around her.
She is now reunited in Heaven with her sister, Karen McKenzie, her father, Ronald Abernathy and mother, Linda Darren.
In the hearts of those mourning Cindy's departure are her loving husband, Robert Greene, her son Nicholas Jones, and her sister Dianna Ervin, all who now find themselves navigating life without her physical presence. The void left by Cindy's passing is felt not only by immediate family but also by many other dear relatives and friends who valued and adored her kind and loving nature.
The memory of Cindy will be honored at a Celebration of Her Life. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, followed by a service at 7:00pm on July 11, 2024, at Five Rivers Church located at 1450 E Dorothy Lane, Kettering, Ohio 45429.
In celebrating the life of Cindy Kay Greene, let us remember the light she brought into our lives and the enduring impact of her kindness and creativity. She may have left this world but her spirit will continue to live on through the memories shared by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
