Christopher W. J. Meyer, Jr. age 35 of West Carrollton went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2020.
He was born May 18, 1985 in Dayton, Ohio to Christopher and Dawn Meyer.
Chris was preceded in death by his Grandma Mac; great-grandparents Wilbur and Cecelia Seidenstricker; and Jim Parker.
Chris graduated from West Carrollton High School in 2004. He worked in the remodelling and construction field as well as General Motors. He volunteered at his church, Zion Christian Fellowship in Pickerington, Ohio and interned for Columbus School of Supernatural Ministry. Chris was an avid fan of all sports and especially baseball. He was a gifted athlete who participated in baseball and football for many years. Chris was a die-hard fan of the Reds, Buckeyes and Bengals. He loved fishing (especially in Minnesota).
He is survived by his wife Christine; children Emmaus and Israel Evangeline; father Christopher (Lisa) Meyer, Sr.; mother Dawn (Gary Dennison) Pettite; sister Nicole Weikert; grandparents Mary Seidenstricker (Meyer), Bill Meyer, Gene and Pat Engel; aunt Joan Ooten; cousins Michael and Andy; nieces Addy, Violet and Gracelynn; nephews Elijah and Bentley; in laws Pam (Kirk) Groff and Abel (Birute) Rommer; Victoria Rommer; Jolie Richey; Keith and Wendy; as well as many other relatives and friends who were blessed to know Chris.
Chris was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and grandson. He loved God. Chris will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held Sunday, May 31, 2020 from 3-5:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel. A Celebration of Chris' Life will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Warren County, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chris' wife and his small children. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home during the visitation and Celebration of Life or checks can be mailed to the funeral home.
