Christopher Paul Leighty, age 29 of Moraine, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born December 15, 1990 in Dayton, Ohio.
Chris is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Carrie Scott and a dear friend Susan Petit.
He is survived by his loving parents, David (Jane) Leighty and his mother Bonnie Scott; two brothers, David Gerald Leighty and Jevin Lee (Amethyst Harney) Strank; step-brother, Jonathan Berryman; step-sister, Janelle Graybeal; two grandfathers, Starlin Scott and Clifford Leighty; grandmother, Shirley Stewart; step-grandmother, Becky Leighty; aunts, Pam Witt, Susan Ehrman, Paula Dytko, and Heather Young; nephew, Dean Parks; niece, Roxas Strank. He is also survived by numerous other cousins and friends.
Chris was a 2010 graduate of West Carrollton High School. He volunteered at Children's Medical Center. Chris enjoyed spending his free time with his dog Sadie, playing video games, mowing the grass, and helping his family care for the home.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - South Chapel located at 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439.
