Age 34, of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away very unexpectedly Sunday, April 9, 2006.
Chris is preceded in death by his grandfather, Anthony P. Hopkins.
He is survived by his wife of the past 15 years, Lori (Carson) Hopkins; their 10 year old son, Christopher "Kaleb" Hopkins; his mother and beloved step-father, Terry (Riley) & Eddie Daniels of Dayton; his father, Robert & Shera Hopkins of Eaton; one sister and brother-in-law, Amy & Tim Hull and his beloved niece, Regan (Benjamina) of Madison Twp.; his grandparents, Ora Hopkins of Englewood, Clara & Jim Kruetzman of Dayton and Franklin & Drammer Riley of Florida; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Chris was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served eight years in the 82nd Airborne Division. During his time of service he served in Desert Storm and seven other hostile territories. Chris was self-employed and the owner of SuperGlass Windshield Repair. He was very active with his son having sponsored and coached several sports teams.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 14, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer that contributions be made in memory of Chris to a college fund established for his 10-year old son, Kaleb. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
