Christopher William Geib

Christopher William Geib, (W8CWG) age 67 of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019. He was born September 29, 1951 in Berea, Ohio to the late William and Edith Geib.

Chris graduated from Ohio Northern University with his Bachelors degree in 1973 and later received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He worked as a chemist, research chemist, and truck tire chemist for General Tire & Rubber. He spent 10 years in the U.S. Air Force as an officer in acquisitions. He then went on the work as a civilian contractor in various capacities in genomic studies.

Chris was a member of the American Legion Post #200 in Huber Heights, life member of the Air Force Association, member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the Dayton Amateur Radio Association, and a volunteer license examiner for Ham radio (W8CWG). He was also very interested in astronomy.

Chris was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family.

Chris will be missed by his loving wife of almost 32 years, Renee; children, Jonathan H. (Erica) Geib, Matthew C. (Janelle) Geib and Melissa J. Geib; brother, Timothy D. (Carol) Geib; and eight grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Datyon. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Rd., Huber Heights, Ohio, Rev. Ambrose Dobrozsi, Celebrant. Interment at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Arrangements by Newcomer North Chapel.
