Christopher A. Benson

Christopher A. Benson, age 65, of Dayton passed away on September 10, 2023. He was born in Andalusia, Alabama on June 7, 1958 to the late Lonzo and Tommie Benson. In addition to his parents, Chris is preceded in death by his brother, Carey "C.C." Benson and aunt, Luevern Brown.

Chris is survived by his brothers, Curtis Dwayne (Madgaline) Benson, Carl Douglas Benson, Coris Lavon Benson; nephews, Steed (Sherrie) Benson, Chad "Christopher" Benson, Cheyne Benson; nieces, Jaliyah Ja'Nae Benson, Shyra Benson, Mariah Benson, Tiara (Tobin) Benson, Brea Benson, Aryia Benson; as well as a host of family and friends.

Family would like to extend a special thank you to Uncle James Edward Benson and Cousin Alphonso Denson and their families as well as Bethsaida Missionary Baptist Church.

Chris was the eldest of five brothers, whom he loved and cared for very much. He was always there for any one in the family and was cherished by everyone. We will always remember him as a musician, mechanic and the family comedian as well as a church advocate. Chris had the spirit of a strong leader and a loving heart; always with a smile on his face. He gave his life to the Lord and was a faithful member of his church. Chris will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.
