Christine Babington (nee Townsend), age 102, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Babington; daughter, Linda B. Ray; son, Ron Babington; parents, Melvin L. Townsend and Evelyn Barnes Townsend; and 4 siblings.
Survivors include her grand-daughters, Karen (Terry) Vourvopoulos and Katrina (Doug) Carson; great-grandchildren, Michael, Kristina, Nicholas, Patrick and Sarah.
Christine, also known as "B", was an amazing person who cherished family and friends; believed in hard work, honesty and a simple life.
A special thanks for the loving care from Brookdale Senior Living and Hospice of Dayton.
The family will receive friends from 10 am-11am on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 11am. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, Miamisburg.
