Christine B Russell

RUSSELL, Christine B., age 85 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2017. She was born in Middletown, Ohio to the late James Isaac and Opal Pearl Hixson. Christine married Hobert William Russell in July of 1960. The two went on to have two children. She worked for many years as an elementary school teacher aid for McGuffy Elementary. Christine was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing tomatoes. She also had a passion for collecting angels and baby dolls. Christine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husband Hobert William Russell; and siblings, Opal M. Hixson, Frances Hixson, and James Isaac Hixson, Jr.

Christine leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Wade Russell and Kermit (Wendy) Russell; grandchildren, Andrew Russell and Nathan Russell; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Dayton Chapel. Visitation will be held for one hour prior (12:30pm - 1:30pm) to the service. Burial to follow at Willow View Cemetery
