Christine C. Gore

Christine C. Gore June 9, 1925 - June 14, 2024 

Christine Gore, age 99, passed away on June 14, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio. Christine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Benjamin Gore, parents, four sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter Sharon (Ralph) Kanko and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces in Germany and USA. Christine was born in Germany, was a WWII refugee survivor, and emigrated to the United States in 1948. She lived in Miami, Florida, for many years, then moved to Ohio to be near her daughter. Christine brought beauty into this world by interior decorating and landscaping her residences with new trees and flowers. She was a very energetic person, highly motivated, and excelled in whatever she did. She believed that anyone can succeed in the US if they work hard. Christine raised and showed champion poodles for many years in Florida. While in her 50's she went to college and, in spite of language barriers, passed her Respiratory Therapist certification test on the first try. Christine worked in the Mercy Hospital in Miami, Florida, for 12 years. After moving to Ohio, she began China painting and produced may beautiful articles. 

The funeral will be held at the David Cemetery Chapel by pastor Bill Hrovat at 11:30am on June 21, 2024. There will be no early viewing or visitation before the service. Family and friends will meet for lunch after the service and graveside gathering. In lieu of flowers Christine preferred a donation to the Dayton Food Bank or St. Vincent de Paul's to help those in need.
