Christine Fredrick

January 21, 1948 — January 27, 2024

Christine S. Fredrick, age 76, passed away January 27, 2024. She was born on January 21, 1948 in Chicago, IL to the late Walter and Estelle Malkowski.

????There has never been a more self-less, loving person on this earth than our mom, Tina Fredrick. Throughout her life, she volunteered countless hours to her church and helping others. Mom was very devout in her Catholic faith. She believed very strongly in the power of prayer. There were always Rosary's around the house that mom would use to say prayers for family, friends, and for those less fortunate. She also proudly sang in the St. Adalbert church choir and frequently volunteered for various activities to help out the church. When mom was younger, she took classes and volunteered for C.A.S.A., an organization in which she helped children that were in difficult family situations. At one point, God told Mom and told her to go back to school and become an LPN Nurse. It wasn't long after mom graduated with her nursing degree that Dad was diagnosed with cancer. Mom knew that this was her calling to use her newfound knowledge to care for her husband. And that she did. She took care of him in our house until his dying day. The love that our mother and father shared is something most people have never seen before. Their 1st date was a blind date set up by Mom's sister and at the end of the date, our Dad told mom that he was going to marry her someday. She said that he was crazy in the head, but he obviously knew that he found his soul-mate. On the inside of their wedding rings, Dad's was inscribed with "Always" and our Mom's was "Forever". Mom lived for another 20 years stayed forever faithful to dad until her dying day.

Throughout her life, Mom was very supportive of her family and friends. She gave her everything to help her children be the best that they could be. About 10 years ago, mom took a risk investing her own retirement money into helping her son Jonathan start his business of fixing up houses and selling them. When Jon was asked what his company was going to be called, he named it after his mother by using her initials. Jon has continued to grow this company and would call his mother daily to talk personal things, but also giving her updates on projects and how the business was doing. A few years ago, Mom started needing more help around the house and getting around in general, so the company bought mom a house directly next door to Marcus and his family. This was truly a God-send for mom. Marcus, Nikki, and the kids spoiled mom daily by helping her around the house, spending quality time with her, and especially the nightly home-cooked dinners filled with laughter and smiles. Mom loved all of her children, grandchildren, and friends. She will be truly missed by many. ????

In summary, Mom was courageous and persevered no matter what the Lord had planned for her. The saying "tiny but mighty" were never more fitting for a person. Throughout her life, mom overcame many obstacles and always said "It's all apart of God's plan". She accepted whatever God had planned for her and she didn't complain about it. She was the strongest woman we've ever met.
