Christian Noel Bennett

Christian Noel Bennett, age 39, of Tipp City, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024. He was born on December 7, 1984, in Cebu, Philippines.

Christian attended Wayne High School and graduated with the class of 2003. Shortly after high school, Christian met the love of his life, Jolonda. In July of 2005, Christian enlisted into the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. It was during basic training that Christian asked for Jolonda's hand in marriage. On December 2, 2005, Christian married Jolonda, just 5 days before the two of them would share their same birthday. It's not every day that you find someone that has the same exact birthday as you. Christian and Jolonda were both born on December 7th 1984, a rarity in a love story like no other. Christian, selflessly served his country during the height of the Global War on Terrorism, which included a deployment to Iraq. He was a decorated airman earning many distinguished medals, awards and ribbons. During his time in the service, he simultaneously earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, from the University of Arizona. During his 12 years of active duty service, the couple welcomed 3 beautiful children. Christian II, Masen and Logan, who were his greatest joys. After, serving 12 years in the military, Christian was medically retired at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom, despite his unwavering desire to remain on active duty.

As a loyal fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Christian relocated his family back to Ohio, where he began a second career in civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. During this time, the couple welcomed their 4th child, a baby girl whom they had prayed so long and hard for.

Scarlet Gray, was born in August of 2019 and his love for The Ohio State Buckeyes was loud and clear when he chose to name her after The Buckeyes colors. Christian immediately established roots in The Carriage Trails and Bethel Community where he built the best friendships and strong love for his community.

In his free time, Christian loved to travel and see the world with his family. He documented his travels and loved being a self proclaimed food critic. Christian attended all of his children's activities and was the best sports dad. He loved football, enjoyed watching Ultimate Fighting Championship, playing golf, grilling, working on home improvement projects with his wife, binge-watching television series, and movies with his wife, and hanging out with his friends and family. Jolonda and their 4 children were his whole world.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clifton J. Bennett; mother-in-law, Deborah McDuffy; and brother-in-law, James Switzer.

Christian is survived by his beautiful wife of 19.5 years, Jolonda Bennett; his 4 children, Christian N. Bennett II (17), Masen J. Bennett (13), Logan C. Bennett (12), and Scarlet G. Bennett (4); parents, Estela Traveler and Tepadol Bennett; siblings, Almar, Eden and Stephanie of the Phillipines, brother in law, Gregory (Oj) McDuffy (Stephanie), sister in law, Danielle R Medley (Drew) grandmother, Saing Bennett; father in law, Gregory McDuffy and grandmother in law, Barbara McDuffy as well as many nieces and nephews and extended military family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Bethel high school football program where all 3 of his boys play football.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the memorial service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio, 45424.

A celebration of life will be held for friends and family following the service at Faith Presbyterian Church located at 5555 Chambersburg Rd. Huber Heights, OH 45424

A Private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Christian will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery
