Chris T. Winters, age 72 of Springfield, Ohio passed on March 1, 2022. He was born February 27, 1950 in Charleston, West Virginia son of the late Richard and Betty Winters.
Chris was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a United States Army Veteran who proudly served his Country for 17 years. He and his wife were members of the Maize Road Baptist Church in Columbus Ohio for several years. Chris loved spending time with his best friend, the late Daniel Ice in which they discussed the Bible. He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family. Chris will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Winters Jr.; son-in-law, Derrick Millen; brother-in-law, Ralph Parsons; and best friend Daniel Ice.
Chris is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Winters; children, Jacob (Kim) Winters, Joseph (Melissa) Winters, Renee (Waylan) Spangler, and Tara Millen; grandchildren, Thomas (April Kidd), Dustin, Ryan, Emily, Vivian, Max, Bruce, and Brianna (Carolyn); great granddaughter, Sarah; siblings, Bonnie (Mike) Schmidt and Rhea Jo Parsons; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 2-3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A Funeral Service will begin at 3pm at the Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions can be made towards Newcomer Funeral Home to assist the family in funeral expenses for Chris.
