Chris Smith, age 63, of Riverside, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023.
He was born on May 18, 1960 to the late Charles and Bettyanne Smith.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his son, Ian Smith.
Chris is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Crystal Smith; sons, Josh Kreitzer, David Kreitzer and Jimmy Simpson; daughter-in-laws, Tara Smith and Lynn Kreitzer; grandchildren, Katelyn, Carson, and Lyric; brothers, Gary Smith, Rick Smith, and Pat (Angie) Smith; and many other family and friends.
Chris played the bass guitar in countless bands over the years. His favorite band of all time was Rush. He loved nature and going on trips-Gatlinburg being his favorite place. Chris was fond of "stupid old movies". He was a devoted husband, loving dad and doting G-Pa. Chris will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 2-4pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. The service will follow at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's or No Kid Hungry.
