Chris Prysock, a beloved figure within his family and community, was born on June 21, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio. He left this world on January 10, 2025. Chris was a dedicated and loving husband to his wife, Michele Prysock. Together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Chris was the proud father of three children: Brittany Keller, Christopher Prysock, and Chane (Alli Bush) Prysock. His legacy extends to his grandchildren, Aiden and Gabe, who were fortunate to have a grandfather that truly cherished his time spent with them. Family was everything to Chris, and he exemplified this through his commitment to being present and supportive in the lives of those he loved.
As a man with a service heart, Chris proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, showcasing his dedication not only to his family but to his country. His personality was a blend of humor and warmth; Chris was known to be funny, talkative, sarcastic, goofy, outgoing, and an overall joy to be around. Friends and family alike often fondly recalled how he would go without to make sure everyone else had what they needed, a selflessness that defined his character.
In his leisure time, Chris enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and playing video games, particularly relishing moments spent interacting with the kids. He had a knack for bringing joy to others, and his fun and engaging nature created memorable experiences for everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, mother Anne Kershner, father Willie Prysock, and brother Joe (Zalika) Prysock. He leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews De'Sha, Markiya, Jay, Nala, Crystal (Deon), Melinda ("Crews"), Brandon, and Daniel; several great-nieces and nephews; special aunt Margie Hines, and many dear cousins.
His profound impact on the lives of those he touched will always be remembered. Chris Prysock leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will resonate for years to come.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 5-7pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45424. The service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 9:30am at the funeral home. Chris will be laid to rest with military honors at Cedar Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, January 28th at 12pm.
