Chris D. Butts, age 52 of Carlisle, passed away August 11, 2016 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born February 22, 1964 in Xenia, Ohio the son of James and Sharon (Davis) Butts.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Elizabeth Heil, and Robert and Marjorie Butts.
Chris is survived by his parents; daughter, Carin Bell; son, Ryan Bell; sister, Susan Casper; aunt, Kip Davis; beloved dogs, Sadie and Bandit; and many other relatives and friends.
Chris graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1982, and went on to become a Wright State University Alumni in the class of 1987. He put his education to good use as a long time employee in information technology at Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In addition to his education, he enjoyed many hobbies. Chris was the proud creator and administrator of the Haunted Reviewer Facebook page and website. He loved everything Halloween related, from haunted houses to the many ghost hunts he conducted. Chris's most recent, and proudest, achievement was his part as an extra in the movie The Funhouse Massacre. He also had been able to fulfill his dream of owning not one, but two, Trans Ams and was a member and corresponding secretary of the Dayton Area Chapter of the Trans Am Nationals club.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A service to honor Chris's memory will follow at 7:00 pm. Chris's final resting place will be in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek, Ohio at a later date.
