Vance, Chester L., age 75, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton.
He was a member of Arrowbrook Baptist Church of Xenia and Airway Baptist Church of Dayton. Chester was retired from the Harrison Division of GM after 30 years of service. He was an avid Nascar fan and had a passion for old cars owning many in the past.
Chester loved his grandchildren and enjoyed attending many of their activities. Chester had a big heart filled with much love for his wife and daughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Vance. He is survived by his wife Doris Vance; 2 daughters, Karen (Ron) Miller, Lisa (Shelton DaCosta) Vance; 7 grandchildren, Scott Miller, Matthew Miller, Megan Miller, Kellsey McCane, Garrett McCane, Conner McCane, Melia DaCosta; a favorite aunt, Irene Puckett, favorite uncles, Pete (Betty) Puckett, Jack (Emma) Puckett; and his best friend and buddy "Toby".
Pastor Jeff Davenport will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Chester's memory.
