Chester Blevins, Sr.

Chester Blevins Sr., age 87 of Kettering, passed away December 9, 2023. He was born on May 25, 1936 in Harlan, KY to the late Henry and Bertha (Wynn) Blevins. In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his siblings, Vino Wynn, Olan Blevins, Grace Eldridge, Catherine Riggs, Gobel Blevins, Frank Blevins, Loraine Porter, Hazel Spradlin and Osa Bolten.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ruth Blevins; children, Peggy (Scott) Tulloch, Chet (Linda) Blevins, April (Tony) Coston, Bill Blevins, Myra Arnder; grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, Dylan, Melissa and Mark; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Chester worked for over 34 years with Rahn Granite Surface Company. He attended and graduated from the Kentucky School for the Deaf in 1957 and was a member of the Dayton Deaf Club. Chester enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing. His pride and love were his grandbabies and great-grandbabies.
