GOODING, Chester A., age 83, of Centerville, loving husband and father, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, Trinity Community of Beavercreek where he had been a resident for 9 months. Chester was born in Dayton, OH, on March 10, 1925, the son of Chester Anthony Gooding and Bertha Alice Bishop. Chester was a former student, teacher, and Principal of Stivers High School. He was a proud World War II Veteran. Chester is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of 61 years; two sons and their wives, Chester and Julie Gooding of Mitchelville Maryland and Mark and Teresa Gooding of Beavercreek; grandchildren, Marisa, Jameson, Sarah, Zachary, Alicia, and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Alaysia and Ariana; and his brother Robert Gooding. Visitation will be held Friday, June 20, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
