Cheryl D. Weaver, 68, of Fairborn, passed away on May 21, 2021. She was born on February 22, 1953, the daughter of Donald Lamb and Lois (Waters) Bryant, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by brother, John Mays; and father and mother-in-law, Paul and Dorthey Weaver.
Cheryl is survived by her devoted husband, Paul "Eddie" Weaver Jr.; children, Ruthanna (Rickie Cole Jr.) Gray of Riverside, Matthew Weaver, of Fairborn, and Paula Weaver of Fairborn; "adopted" children, Jama and Titus Bowling who may not be her children by blood, but called her mom and she always answered; her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Taylor (Kevin) Pena of Riverside, Jacob and Jett Fredrick, of Riverside, Jarrod and O'dessah Weaver of Fairborn, along with step grandchildren, Taylor Prince, Jasmine Lockheart, and Bobby Bowling; great-grandchildren, Julian, Angeli, and Melodi Pena of Riverside; a multitude of siblings and stepsiblings, Renee Bryant of Park Layne, Ricky Lamb and Claire Ryan, both of New Carlisle, and many others not mentioned because her children never got the chance to meet you; and several cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews; special friends, the Powell family; and best friend, Gaylena Powell.
Her family was extensive and her life was full. Her door was always open and you could find a shower, a hot meal, and a place to sleep whenever you needed it. It never mattered if you were family or if she didn't even know you.
Through the years Cheryl gave her life to working in the hotel industry for over 40 years. She loved to take care of all the people coming and going. She went on to retire from Holiday Inn in Fairborn, where she had sent 20 years.
Cheryl loved sewing and making things like clothes, blankets, and stuffed animals. She collected butterflies and teddy bears. She loved nature, trees, and flowers and enjoyed doing things like camping and staying in cabins. Cheryl loved going to play BINGO and shop at garage sales. She loved music and enjoyed artists like, Adele, Allison Krauss, Dixie Chicks, and the BeeGees.
Though towards the end Cheryl could barely get around without help, that didn't stop her from helping people and enjoying her hobbies.
She will be truly missed and thought of everyday by so many people. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.
At Cheryl's request, no funeral will be held at the funeral home. After her cremation, a Celebration of Cheryl's Life will be held at Eastwood Park in Dayton, OH at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
