Cheryl D. Szanto

Cheryl D. Szanto passed away June 27, 2024. She was born in Dayton, OH on December 2, 1952 to the late Louella and Floyd Burke. 

Cheryl was a published author and was a member of the East Dayton Club and VFW Post 3283 Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing and attending First Church of the Open Bible. Cheryl loved going to family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Rick Dunn, Rodney Cummings and Melissa (Shawn) Riffle; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Jeanna Reedy; her brother, Patrick (Linda) Burke; her nieces, Christina (Julian) Jones and Mata (Ahmed Taha Khalaf) Burke and her nephews, William Burke and Andrew Reedy. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society in Cheryl's memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, July 8, 2024 at First Church of the Open Bible, 4990 Troy Pike Dayton, OH 45424
