Cheryl Jean Powers

Cheryl Jean Powers, age 59 of Dayton, OH passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born July 19, 1958 in Rome, New York to Richard and Kathleen Powers.

Cheryl enjoyed gardening especially planting her own flowers and plants. She loved music and enjoyed learning to play the guitar. Cheryl loved all animals, especially cats, and never met a stranger. She had a contagious smile and loved to laugh. Cheryl loved her family dearly and loved her back, and will be greatly missed by all.

Cheryl is survived by her father Richard; five siblings, Sherry (Ray) Howard, Rick (Christine) Powers, Lonnie Powers, Christine (John) Manriquez and Mark (Marcy) Powers; a special friend, Betty Rike; a special aunt, Brenda Nuckles; and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother; and a brother, Brian Powers.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432. A Memorial Service will follow the gathering at the funeral home at 5:00 pm.
