Cheryl Marie Johnson

JOHNSON, Cheryl M. (Hargrove), 65, of Beavercreek died Friday February 25, 2011 in the Intensive Care Unit of the Miami Valley Hospital. She was the wife of Albert W. Johnson Sr.

Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Rebecca (Solomon) Nunes and the late Lafayette B. Hargrove Sr.

Cheryl enjoyed living as the wife of a Naval Serviceman until settling in Beavercreek for the last 6 years.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses over 25 years ago. She enjoyed the Field Ministry and associating with her spiritual brothers and sisters. Cheryl also enjoyed traveling abroad and domestically, playing cards and entertaining family and friends.

Cheryl leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 45 years, Albert W. Johnson, Sr.; she is survived by her five children, Patrice R. Johnson of Attleboro, MA., Albert W. Johnson, Jr (wife, Mayra) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Anthony G. Johnson of Tampa, FL, Andrea D. Salazar of Concord, NC and Cheryl Paulette Ancar of Los Angeles, CA.; three sisters, Barbara Santos of Carver MA., Patricia Wells of Somerset NJ. and Sheila Sousa of Brockton, MA.; 13 grandchildren, Joseph, Mahlik, Yesenia, Nicole, Daniela, Chelsea, Tiffany, Eleese, Ashlee, Consuela, Constantia, Cassandra and Geoffrey Paul; 4 great grandchildren, James, Nia, Elija and Evyn.

Cheryl was one of ten children. Her late siblings, Frances Sousa of E. Providence, RI, Myrna Hall of Pawtucket, RI, Cynthia Gonsalves of Brockton MA., Marilyn McGee of Holbrook, MA., Rebecca Jimerson of Aurora CO., and Lafayette Hargrove of Brockton, MA.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday March 4, 2011 at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Family will receive friends and guests from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Watchtower Society.
