Cheryl Joy, age 77, of Dayton, passed away on March 3, 2024. She was born in Galveston, Texas, on June 1, 1946, the daughter of the late Ballard and Phyllis Lambert.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Robert L. Joy; and her son, Rob Joy.
Cheryl is survived by her loving sons, Ron (Jill) Joy, Randy "Squeak" (Nikki) Joy and Rick (Wendi) Joy; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Noelle Joy; siblings, Connie West, Sandra (Bill) McIntire, Ballard "Boots" Lambert, Jr. and Gary (Angie) Lambert; and many other loving family friends.
She was a member of the American Legion of Dayton and the Moose Lodge in Miamisburg for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling (especially long car rides with Bob in the country), fishing, playing BINGO and sitting on the front porch with her sons. Cheryl had a heart of gold and was always there with a helping hand. She always had a beautiful smile (and her hair styled perfectly!). She was very devoted to those she loved and will be greatly missed by many.
A Celebration of Cheryl's Life will be held at a later date by the family.
