Chelly Lee Holloway, age 54 of Beavercreek, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023. She was born April 29, 1969 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late William and Stella Holloway.
Chelly graduated from Southview High School in 1988. She retired from Arby's in 2008 and from United Rehabilitation Services in 2019 after a collective 30 years in the service industry. Chelly also designed women's clothing for 40 years. She was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Temple and a prayer warrior. In her spare time, she enjoyed dining out, getting manicures, pedicures and massages, watching ME TV, listening to gospel music and bowling in a league for 15 years. Chelly was the first person with Down Syndrome to receive the Governor's Award.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister and guardian, Brenda Holloway and brother, Larry Askins.
Chelly is survived by her twin sister, Kelly (Matt) Newberry; nephew, Conley Newberry; brother, James Billings; niece, Cheryl (Tom) Kettlehake and great niece, Melinda Chandler.
Visitation will be Friday, October 13, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a service to follow at 12:00 pm at Cornerstone Baptist Temple (1707 Ohmer Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45410). Chelly will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery following the service.
