Charlotte Lawson

Lawson, Charlotte M., age 72, of Vandalia, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 17, 2009. She was born August 13, 1936 in Fleming Co., KY, the daughter of Rev. George & Jesse Mitchell. Charlotte was a member of the Vandalia Church of the Nazarene. Charlotte spent her life in service to others and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was very active in the Music Ministry of the church and enjoyed sharing her musical talent with others. She worked for many years as an insurance agent and after her retirement she became a successful Mary Kay Cosmetics Consultant. Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert R. Lawson; brother, George Mitchell; and her sister, Francis Vaughn. Survivors include her sons, Keith Lawson and Tim (Linda) Lawson; daughter-in-law, Ruth Lawson; grandchildren, Brian (April) Lawson, Erin Lawson, & Sean Lawson; great grandson, Evan; brothers and sisters, Marvin (Beulah) Mitchell, Dorothy Roseberry, Bob (Betty) Mitchell, twin brother, Shirley (Earlene) Mitchell, & Warner Mitchell; brothers-in-law, Tom Vaughn & Bill Lawson; and sister-in-law, Mary Lou (Lawson) Alexander; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Friday, March 20, 2009 at the Vandalia Church of the Nazarene, 620 Stonequarry Dr., Vandalia, Ohio, with Pastor Josh Cougle officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the time of services. Interment will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Vandalia.
